CAT 2008 Math Short Cuts : Free Weekend Workshops

Common Admission Test (CAT 2006 conducted by the IIMs, had 75 questions to be solved in 150 minutes. A simple math calculation will tell you that you need to solve a question in two minutes.

That surely means solving questions at lightning speed. It also means that if you solve questions the way one does in a 10th standard board exam or a graduate exam (writing 8 steps to solve a problem after putting down all required formulae), you will need a little over twice the amount of time that the Common Admission Test (CAT) examiners are willing to give you.

Therefore, it is imperative that you know as many math shortcuts as you can. And not just know the math shortcuts, but use them extensively so that the shortcut methods become second nature to you.

2IIM's Weekend Math Shortcut Workshops
2IIM conducts free math shortcut workshops during select weekends for MBA aspirants in Chennai. In each of these workshops, a topic in Math will be covered or typical CAT questions will be solved using shortcuts. And these math shortcut tips will also be useful for other exams such as GRE, GMAT, and Aptitude Tests conducted by leading Indian corporates (specifically software companies test) as part of their recruitment process.
